God Understands

At Christmas, we remember that the Son of God became a man. He entered our world with all its brokenness, sin, and suffering. Jesus experienced the full range of human emotion, temptation, joys, sorrows, and everything in between.

As the “man of sorrows” (Isaiah 53:3 ESV), Jesus understands our pain. He is not indifferent to our experiences and feelings—He knows them. He has felt them. The Lord Jesus can truly say to each one of us, “I get it. I understand.”

Day 3 quote graphic: God Understands

So, whatever you’re going through, know that you’re not alone. God understands! He has been where you are, and He invites you to come boldly to Him to receive His grace and help in your weakness.

“This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”

Hebrews 4:15–16 NLT
Prayer

Lord, thank you for understanding my weaknesses, and yet being strong enough to help me through them. When I feel weak, remind me that your grace is sufficient. In Jesus’ name, amen.
