A Welcome Letter

Dear Friend,

Hope means everything.

That’s what the Christmas story is all about. It’s a story of hope fulfilled and hope still anticipated.

During the Advent season, we look back on Christ’s first coming. We remember the hope of God’s people being fulfilled in the birth of Christ, who was sent to rescue and redeem us. We also look forward to His second coming, eagerly awaiting in hope for His return to restore and renew all things.

This devotional was created to help you reflect on and celebrate the “God of hope” (Romans 15:13) during the Christmas season. Each reflection is centered on an aspect of the Christmas story and points to a wonderful truth about our gracious God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

As you worship the Savior this Advent season, we pray these 25 wonderful truths about our great God will encourage your heart, fill you with peace, and give you every reason for hope.

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Isaiah 9:6

Gratefully,
The Hope for the Heart Team
